This treasure of a historical book, CAMP LIFE IN THE WOODS AND THE TRICKS OF TRAPPING AND TRAP MAKING by W. Hamilton Gibson (1850-1896) was first published in 1881 and is republished here for the education and enjoyment of readers interested in these time tested methods of food procurement using snares, traps, deadfalls and contains many handsomely detailed original illustrations by the author W. Hamilton Gibson of many animals and of the means to procure them for food or for the elimination of vermin and predator. Mr. Gibson describes the characteristics and of the animals, as well as preferred foods, habitat and best trapping method for each.
